This is the question that we must ask when trying to come to terms with the horror of the massacre in Norway, where more than 70 people (figure revised downwards) have lost their lives. This horror began with the bombing of government offices in Oslo. It should be remarked here, that the activity of bombing government offices is one that is advocated by a Swedish neo-Nazi group of which Breivik was a member online. However, it is the purpose of such an act that requires some analysis since it appears that the purpose of the action was to have the rest of the world blame Muslims, as an act of jihad. This is probably because immediately after the blast there was an online message from an unknown group called “The Friends of Global Jihad” claiming responsibility. That message was taken down but it was enough for the political analysts to pontificate about possible reasons for Muslims to behave in that way – except the majority of Muslims in Norway would not go along with such a thing. (I give some credit to these Norwegian Muslims because they were very quick to condemn what had taken place, and some went to the Cathedral in Oslo to pay respects and to pray for the victims. As such they are people of good will, not bad will).
It did not take long for the Left-wing Media, such as the ABC, BBC, CNN, NewYork Slimes, theAge etc. to attempt to slime the “right wing” or conservative people in politics. The point to be made here is that it is not possible to accept what this person had written online with regard to his politics, because he seemed to be attempting to set up a situation that would lead to war. He claimed to be a Christian, yet he did not attend a mainstream Christian church. Instead he has been linked to the Freemasons in Norway (they have acknowledged that he was a member) and specifically he was linked to the Freemason version of the Knights Templar. It has to be stated that the Knights Templar of Norway in no way resemble the earlier Knights Templar of the Christian Crusades. This is a name that has been stolen and there is simply no link between the two. Thus it is difficult to claim that this man is in fact a Christian because his background says otherwise.
Then there are the smears that he set up regarding the English Defence League and a few other organizations in Europe who are indeed against increased Muslim immigration. He claimed to have had contact with them, but they in turn have condemned his actions and want nothing to do with him. The English Defence League, for example are not into creating a war situation. They are the type that will protest with their banners in a march, and then will go have a drink in a pub. They are simply not on the same page as Breivik. The Swedish neo-Nazis on the other hand have not in fact denied their contact with this particular man.
The fact that he bombed offices of the ruling Labour Party, and that he killed the sons and daughters of the Labour Party members is significant. It shows an extreme hatred of “the left” (I doubt that the Norwegian Labour Party is that far left, but would think they are centre-left). At one point he had been a member of the Progress Party but he left them by 2009. This is the party that would be seen as centre-right, but not extreme-right as claimed by the smear merchants of the Lamestream Media. The Progress Party is probably closest to the American Republicans, the Australian Liberal Party and for reference advocates along similar lines to the TEA movement in the USA. Some members of the Progress Party have had ideals that are libertarian. However, the LSM call them extreme-right because they oppose the continued increase of Muslim immigration into Norway. Should they be seen as Islamophobic because they can clearly see the problems associated with the immigration of an alien people who do not integrate into their way of life? My answer is NO. I do not see that as Islamophobic…. but the attitude displayed by Anders Breivik is most definitely Islamophobic.
The lawyer assigned to Breivik thinks that he is insane. If he is found to be insane then he cannot be brought to trial or kept in prison – ooops… how will they solve keeping him out of society? On the face of what has happened, and based upon the statements gleaned, I agree with the lawyer that Breivik is insane, and in the same way that Hitler was insane. How does this fit in with an ideology? Other than pinning him to the Neo-Nazis it is impossible to pin an ideology on this man, and for that reason the smear merchants need to just shut up.
What is more, in this latest report, based upon the interview with Breivik’s lawyer, Breivik hates democracy. This shows that he has the totalitarian bent of the extreme left-wing in politics. It is also the politics of those who are allegedly on the right but are of the extreme right-wing of politics.
This brings me to the issue of the definitions of left and right. For too long we have been taking notice of the left-wing media meme that if one is conservative or “funadamentalist” then they are right wing, and that everyone else is right wing. If you advocate against an immigration policy that allows an alien group who are unwilling to integrate into society, the left wing meme is to scream “Islamophobia”, which is of course, not true. It is just means of attempting to shut down debate, as well as an attempt to alter our society by people who are in fact totalitarian in nature and hate our countries so much that they are willing to sell us into the slavery that comes with an Islamic invasion. They are people who are extremely ignorant of the true past history, and who have embraced an historical revisionism that clouds the truth. This happens amongst those of the real extreme right wing, as well as amongst those on the extrem left-wing.
The problem is that Christian fundamentalists have obscured the real reason for the Crusades as well as for the Inquisitions of the Middle Ages. The purpose of the Spanish Inquisition which was instituted by Queen Isabella and King Ferdinand of Spain is in a different category. However, when the truth is known about the reasoning behind why it took place, one can at least come to terms with those actions, without having to accept the actions as being appropriate. The fact remains that in those early centuries Islam was a very real threat to European Christendom, but there was a twin threat to the Church because of the activities of heretics. The heretics in question were known as Cathars, and they were not confined to one location. They included the Bogomills of Bosnia (who later converted to Islam) as well as the Albigenses in France (Toulouse). They were present in Italy, Spain and other European countries. The Cathars claimed to be Christians but in fact they were nothing of the sort. They had some very strange practices, including their vegan diet, refused to marry, but some had children out of wedlock, homosexuality was rife amongst them, and they ritual that involved suicide (they actually refused to eat any food after receiving their only sacrament called the consolatum). The Cathars were the anarchists of the Middle Ages, and for some people the Inquisitions actually saved a number of lives because people were falsely accused of being heretics. However, there were also times when say the kings and queens of a region interfered in the process which then led to what we describe as a massacre. It is indeed these massacres that are played up by the Fundamentalist Christians even though the massacres were not instigated by the Church, but by a king or queen.
Not all groups described as fundamentalists are right wing. A good example is that of the Westboro Baptist Church. This small group of people who are extremely obnoxious go around demonstrating at various funerals. The LSM never state the political affiliation of the group. They are Democrats, not Republicans. They are also not involved in the TEA movement. The leader of this band of obnoxious individuals is an associate of Al Gore…. oops, how inconvenient.
Yet, it is the description of right and left, involving Nazi Party and Marxists that is quite amusing. In the 1930s there were several European countries that saw the rise of Fascism, whilst at the same time there was a rise in Communism in Russia. There is very little difference between these two ideologies, because both rely upon the state as the controller. Both are based upon totalitarianism. The Spanish Civil War is an example of how people on each side of these ideologies hated each other. The outcome in Spain was a win for General Franco, however, Franco did not support Hitler, nor did he support Mussolini during the 2nd World War. Franco actually supported the allies during that time…. interesting. The Spanish Civil War however, remains as the best example of how both sides of the Socialist coin hated each other. In that same period Norway had a Nazi government, led by Quisling. It is interesting to note how we will describe a person as a quisling and that saying has its roots in the story of this particular man. The Norwegians, on the other hand joined the Underground Resistance and assisted the Allies.
In other words, at least in Europe there is little distinction between the left and the right wings of politics. This is because the political parties are both on the left of centre, but one form of ideology is more left than the other. There is indeed no real right wing. Also, being anti-immigration does not make anyone extreme right wing, especially when the origins of “left” and “right” are taken into consideration. The history goes back to the French Revolution, where the group that sat on the right of the Parliament were monarchists wanting to keep the status quo, and the group on the left were very much into a different form of totalitarianism.
In the twentieth century it has been common to place a military junta such as that of Pinochet in Argentina, or Franco in Spain on the right, but again it is not strictly correct because Pinochet was a totalitarian dictator, just like the Marxist Chavez in Venezuela or the Marxist Fidel Castro in Cuba. The other side of the coin has not in fact had power. There is no real capitalism in any of these South American countries. Giving power to the former ruling families in say Nicuragua or Bolivia does not mean that there will be Capitalism, or that there will be real democracy.
The fact is that the LSM has muddied the real meaning of left and right in politics for their own political purposes. Not even in Australia is it logical to use the misnomers of “left” and “right”. This is especially true when the labels of “extreme right” or “extreme left” are applied. It would be better to state the obvious – that within the ALP, the current Prime Minister is a Marxist. At the same time the Green Party try to hide their real affiliations because the party is indeed made up of people who are Marxists, and who have sought to gain power by pretending an interest in the environment.
How then, does any of this fit with the profile that is being built up about the Oslo murderer? Since the man hates democracy he cannot be described as right wing. This hatred does not fit with the right wing in politics. He appears to be a Nazi and as such he should be placed on the left of politics if at all possible because the Nazis being members of a Socialist Party are indeed left-wing but are to the right of the Marxist ideology that they share in common with Communists. However, in reality, if the man has indeed descended into insanity is it even appropriate to apply any political label?
